Text Box: Chess is one of the few games which has a long and powerful history. Being played in China, India and Persia, chess has traveled across many countries and continents. Thought to have originated in what is now northern India or Afghanistan, no-one is completely sure where it came from. Mentioned in poems and literature, there is no complete evidence of who created this magnificent
game.
Now played all over the world, everyone refers to chess as the game for the smart people. Thats not necessarily true though. A board with 64 squares in black and white, and 2 sets of 16 pieces for
each side, it sure seems like a complicated game.
When you see 8 and 10 yr olds challenging an adult and winning, you usually freak out and think, wow, that is one smart dude. But chess is just a matter of experience and love for the pieces and game. Making plans and strategies, you are able to overcome any opponent. This is one game that doesnt require you to be physically fit, or muscular to win.
So go on, learn the game and impress you opponents with wicked attacks, strong defense and eventually cornering the king to finish them of.
